I'm not sure what to say, I'm just really really
Nika Dreamscape | October 12, 2008I’m not sure what to say, I’m just really really sad to find this out. You and Chug were the first podcasters I ever got to really know and talk to, and you were the ones that made me feel comfortable in the podcast community within SL and around Podcast Island. Yours was and is one of my favorite podcasts, and I’m really sad to hear that there won’t be anymore. I’m going to miss the hell out of your rants, interviews, reading of feedback, etc. I guess the practical side of me would be saying that you shouldn’t keep doing it if you aren’t ‘feeling’ it anymore, and that you should force yourself and go through the motions. I respect your decision to stop- its just right now the more selfish side of me like a lot of people probably felt when their favorite show gets canceled. I know you are doing the right thing for yourself, so I’m glad for that. Its just, right now- :(! lol
So um.. when’s Rezzednecks 4?

You dufus, this is the best SL podcast that there
Sougent Harrop | October 12, 2008You dufus, this is the best SL podcast that there is out there and it’s been great, wish you wouldn’t sell yourself short. If I had to pick only one SL podcast to listen to, this would have been the one.
Radar- I propose that Episode 40 be about burnout, fade, blah
Crap Mariner | October 12, 2008Radar-
I propose that Episode 40 be about burnout, fade, blah blah blah… or having way too many thing sto do that something has to give. Invite folks who have gotten into that too deep and what they did.
I volunteer to host and roughcut it, too.

"When is the last time you listened to my podcast
CeNedra Rivera | October 12, 2008“When is the last time you listened to my podcast and really felt I was tuned into what was going on?”
Well Radar, today actually, today.
We’ve all been there, podcaster or not, you aren’t alone in these feelings but unlike us you have the voice and the forum to discuss it and help the rest of us.

Last word from me: Bastard
Radar, I saw your post announcing The End Monday on
Lojak Taliaferri | October 15, 2008Radar, I saw your post announcing The End Monday on Reading Radar because I hadn’t bothered downloading any podcasts over the weekend since Episode 38 had just come out. At any rate, it’s turning out to be a really shitty week.I’m sorry to see SLURT go but I understand. Hope to see other projects from you in the near future.
Look for a longer, dirtier and more rage-filled post to appear on Reading Radar in the very near future LOL -lt
I can only say what the others have said already.
Jack Rident | October 16, 2008I can only say what the others have said already. boy your gonna be missed both you and chug! This was the first podcast on sl i listened to and still love it. Like many of the previous commentors, I too was saddened
niko donburi | October 25, 2008Like many of the previous commentors, I too was saddened to hear the of the demise of SL Under the Radar. It was the only podcast that I listened to on a regular basis. Sigh.
I am mindful of the need to change, however. I’ve certainly done enough of that myself, from resident to SL parodist to, most recently, machinimist. I suggest that Radar NOT delete his prior podcasts (as he implies in this episode) as that is part of the history of Radar Masukami and Second Life.
I look forward to listening/watching/reading the next endeavor.

Niko, and everyone, thanks for the comments. I just wanted
Radar | October 25, 2008Niko, and everyone, thanks for the comments. I just wanted to respond after reading the latest one, from Niko. I talked with Itazura and a few others and they’ve suggested having more collaboration on the podcast, so it’s not just my content, but that from others who want to collaborate but don’t have time to get stuff edited and into a feed every x period of time. I think I will continue the podcast and try that route, and see how it goes. I do plan to still do interviews and have topics I want to cover.
Really it boiled down to me having a really bad couple of weeks and thinking, you know, I don’t need one more thing to be obligated to, but with help from others, I think the fun of doing it outweighs the negatives. And the sense of community with the listeners is something that I really really enjoy.
Thanks again, everyone. Your comments are appreciated more than you know.
One more thing, I dumped feedburner so when the podcast
Radar | October 25, 2008One more thing, I dumped feedburner so when the podcast starts coming out again, use the http://slundertheradar.com/feed link for the feed to plug into your feed catchers. Thanks!
